+renew empties a channel at once by creating it again identical, old messages included; +norenew protects the channels that must never be.

The step-by-step guide

Cleaning and locking channels walks you through it.

+renew

  • +renew [channel]: Deletes and recreates a text channel

The new channel is identical, empty, and takes the old one's place; the bot's settings that pointed to it follow. Without a channel, it is the one you're in. Channels protected with +norenew are refused.
Examples: +renew, +renew #general

Default level: Perm 3

+norenew

  • +norenew: Shows the list of channels that cannot be renewed
  • +norenew <add/del> [channel]: Adds/removes a channel to the list of channels that cannot be renewed

Without a channel, add and del target the one you're in.
Examples: +norenew add #rules, +norenew del #rules

Default level: Owners · Other names: +no renew

The levels and names shown are the original ones: your server may have changed them (permissions, +alias). Every Gestion V2 command
