You can only sanction a member of a lower level than yours, or of the same level if they don't have access to the command themselves (+help permissions).

The sanction is added to the member's history (+sanctions). The bot can also tell them by direct message: +mp settings sets when it does.

When a member is banned, their messages from the last 7 days are deleted. +banclear 1h shortens that, +banclear 0 keeps all their messages.

The step-by-step guide

Sanctioning a member walks you through it.

+kick

  • +kick <member> [reason]: Kicks members from the server, a reason can be specified

The member can come back with an invite. The sanction is added to their history, and they can be told by direct message (+mp settings). You can only kick members below you; if the antiban is on, too many kicks in a short time are blocked.
Examples: +kick @member advertising, +kick @member1 @member2

Default level: Perm 2

+ban

  • +ban <member> [reason]: Bans members from the server, a reason can be specified

The member can't come back until they are unbanned (+unban). Their messages from the last 7 days are deleted (+banclear to change that). For someone who isn't on the server, give their ID. You can only ban members below you, and if the antiban is on, too many bans in a short time are blocked.
Examples: +ban @member raid, +ban 123456789012345678 spam account

Default level: Perm 2

+tempban

  • +tempban <member> <duration> [reason]: Bans members from the server for a given duration, a reason can be specified

Durations: 12h, 1d, 7d… The member is unbanned automatically at the end, and +banlist shows the time left.
Example: +tempban @member 7d insults

Default level: Perm 2

+unban

  • +unban <member>: Unbans users from the server

Give their username, as shown in +banlist, or their ID.
Examples: +unban username, +unban 123456789012345678

Default level: Perm 2

+banlist

  • +banlist: Shows all bans on the server

The list shows 10 bans per page, with the time left for temporary bans.

Default level: Perm 2 · Other names: +ban list, +bans list

+banclear

  • +banclear <duration>: Set the duration worth of messages to delete from a member when they get banned

The duration goes from 0 (no message deleted) to 7 days, the default.
Examples: +banclear 1d, +banclear 0

Default level: Perm 3

+unbanall

  • +unbanall: Removes every ban from the server

It also cancels the temporary bans in progress. Use it carefully: it also covers accounts banned for raiding.

Default level: Perm 3 · Other names: +unban all

The levels and names shown are the original ones: your server may have changed them (permissions, +alias). Every Gestion V2 command
