  1. +lockname
  2. +unlockname
  3. +locknamelist
  4. +nick

The step-by-step guide

Managing roles and nicknames walks you through it.

+lockname

  • +lockname <member> <name>: Locks the nickname of a member

The nickname changes right away; if the member changes it, the bot puts back the one you chose.
Example: +lockname @member Proper nickname

Default level: Perm 2

+unlockname

  • +unlockname <member>: Unlock the nickname of a member

The imposed nickname is removed too: the member gets their username back and can choose a nickname again.
Example: +unlockname @member

Default level: Perm 2

+locknamelist

  • +locknamelist: Shows all members with their nickname locked

Each line gives the member and the imposed nickname; +unlockname frees one.

Default level: Perm 2 · Other names: +locknameslist

+nick

  • +nick <member> <name>: Change the nickname of a member

You can give several members at once; the nickname is 32 characters at most. The member can change it afterwards; to prevent that, use +lockname.
Example: +nick @member New nickname

Default level: Perm 2

The levels and names shown are the original ones: your server may have changed them (permissions, +alias). Every Gestion V2 command
