Commands: Custom commands
A custom command answers a keyword of your choice.
On this page
A custom command answers a keyword of your choice. +custom rules creates the command rules, or edits it if it exists, and opens its panel. When someone sends that keyword, the bot can:
- send a message, an embed or a sticker (or one of them at random), where the command is typed, by direct message or in a fixed channel;
- add reactions, give or take away roles;
- show buttons, a menu or a form.
You can keep it for some roles or members, set a delay between two uses, let it target another member (rules @member), and erase the command or the answer. +help msg lists the variables you can put in the messages.
+customlist lists the server's commands, +clear customs deletes them all, +custom transfer copies one from another server.
The step-by-step guide
Creating a custom command walks you through it.
+custom
+custom <keyword>: Creates a customizable command on the bot (or edits it if it already exists)
The keyword is the whole message to send, without a prefix. The panel sets what the command does:
- send a message, an embed or a sticker (or one of them at random), where it is typed, by direct message or in a fixed channel;
+help msglists the variables; - add reactions, give or take away roles, show buttons, a menu or a form;
- keep it for some roles or members, set a delay between two uses, let it target another member (
rules @member), erase the command or the answer.
Examples: +custom rules, +custom !website
+customlist
+customlist: Shows all custom commands registered on the server
+custom followed by a keyword from the list opens that command to edit it.
+clear customs
+clear customs: Deletes all custom commands from the server
The deletion can't be undone. To delete only one, open it with +custom followed by its keyword: its panel can delete it.
+custom transfer
+custom transfer <ID/number>: Transfers a custom command from one server to the current one
Give the source server by its ID or its number in +server list, then pick the command to copy. If a command already has that keyword here, the bot asks whether to replace it.
Example: +custom transfer 2
The levels and names shown are the original ones: your server may have changed them (permissions, +alias). Every Gestion V2 command
